bikkuri bahn
Above at the port of Kumamoto, N700 for the Sakura service, shipped by barge from Hitachi's Kasado Plant in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Here is a video of the N700 Sakura S1 formation on test, location is the Sanyo Shinkansen line in Okayama Prefecture (following the Hikari Railstar): *just before the N700 passes by you can hear the distinct call of the Japanese Bush Warbler (uguisu) Link to comment
miyakoji
bill & bikkuri, nice videos. The test train did not have that stripe, right? If that yellow was a little lighter, it along with the blue stripe would almost be Yokosuka colors--which of course would make no sense in Kyushu . Either way, I'm glad to see shinkansen rolling stock that isn't simply white. According to wikipedia, the whole line is meant to be complete in March. Does anyone know if they're on schedule for this (JR of all organizations should be!). Link to comment
