Dick H
I'm not sure where this fits in, but here is an overall view of a station if someone wants to model one. This is SUMA station on the Sanyo Main line south of Kobe. It's a bit confusing, as my large (1200 pages) timetable book shows 2 lines here - the Tokaido line and the Sanyo line. I think the 2 leftmost tracks is the Tokaido line. I saw both freight and passenger trains on that line. The other 4 tracks are probably 2 local tracks and 2 express tracks on the Sanyo line. CaptOblivious
Nice shot! And a nice modeling opportunity indeed. Any idea why the left-hand (I presume south/west-bound) platform is wider than the other? Link to comment
Dick H
Nice shot! And a nice modeling opportunity indeed. Any idea why the left-hand (I presume south/west-bound) platform is wider than the other? Good observation. No idea, but IF that were the local track to Kobe and Osaka, the AM rush is always more concentrated than the PM, thus that platform would be more crowded in the AM. Link to comment
Guest ___
Was wondering if the wider track may be to accommodate an office, or storage shed that I've seen on the end of random platforms. Link to comment
