gmat
I went to a hobby shop that i noticed near Toritsudaigaku station. I asked the owner about a train modeling show on Terebi Tokyo, channel 12 and he gave me this lead. http://www.amazon.co.jp/tetsumo-channel/s?ie=UTF8&keywords=TETSUMO.CHANNEL&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3ATETSUMO.CHANNEL&page=1 I haven't seen it so I don't know if it is the same. Is anyone familiar with this dvd? The shop is Hobidas, and the man was very helpful and he gave me an old rail book. The high school student that I taught that night was interested and borrowed it, but I'll end up giving it to another elementary student who is also interested in trains. Thank you, it's a gift that will help others. I have no connection to this store and yesterday was the first time to visit it. It's out of the way and about 10/15 minutes on foot from Toritsudaigaku, on the Toyoko line from Shibuya. The selection area is isn't so large, but the stock room, which is merely a roped off area, is much larger. Besides train kits, they had magazines and also some second hand (?) kits. It;s the grey building. Actually I'm pointing to the wrong block. It's one block to the right. Following the pink line and then the two large streets is easier, but you can follow the pink dotted line and take the smaller streets as it is more direct. You will have to go past the store and cross over on a pedestrian overpass. I think that if you have seen the other shops and still have time, this might be a good visit. I don't by kits so I can't say if the prices are decent. He only spoke in Japanese but said that sometimes other foreigners have visited the store. Best wishes, Grant Link to comment

Guest ___
It never ceases to amaze me by how expensive railway DVD's are in Japan. Link to comment
