Looking for some poster shops in Tokyo!

Have to go there next week, getting some stuff for the house renovation, and parts for the layout. Among other things however, I've got to find some shops in Tokyo that sells neat posters.

 

Cool modern posters, not the traditional ukiyoe or anything like that. What I have in mind is like some prints of funny ad campaigns (i.e. beer posters), Japanese style Star Wars posters, large size prints of train lines, anything purporting to modern Japanese life.

I'm bad at searching for stuff like this on the intarwebs. Please help!!!

 

(p.s. I'll be staying in Akihabara. Distance is not an issue as my hotel is right on top of the Akihabara JR station.)

It appears most brick/mortar poster shops in Tokyo sell product of the interior decoration type (art posters, abstract, etc.)  And online poster shops tend to sell vintage European and American posters.  Your best bet is to to go to some local small izakaya (not a chain), befriend the owner, and exclaim your admiration of the slightly faded beer girl poster on the wall next to the kitchen.  The kind of posters you seek are not for public sale, so the only way to get them is from connections, being at the right place at the right moment, or looking for them on auctions on Yahoo Japan.  Also, there is less of the sense of irony in Japan that you find in Anglophone countries with regards to commercial promotions such as posters being used as decor.  If you put a poster up of say, Suica in your room, most Japanese would say "why?", rather than "hey that's cool!"

I suppose. I still need some Japanese posters to put up in my house, however. Looking for ideas...
