bill937ca
June is tram festival season and the Tokyo Traffic Bureau, Hankai Electric Tramway, Hiroshima Electric Railway, Nagasaki Electric Tramway, Okayama Electric Tramway and Manhasen will all hold commemorative events this month. Most of these events are what we would call open houses and photo sessions. Notable is the painting exchange by Tokyo Traffic Bureau 7511 and Hankai Electric Tramway 502 as a joint PR project. This follows the paint exchange last fall between the Keifuku Electric Railroad and Enoden (Enoshima Electric Railway. Tokyo Traffic Bureau Day of the Tram 2010 held June 6th included the unveiling of 7511 in the heritage paint scheme of the Hankai Electric Tramway, a 5 hour photo session and garage inspection. 12th "Tram Festival" in Sakai held June 6th and included a garage visit, model train exhibition amongst other activities. Car 502 was shown in a Tokyo heritage paint scheme. Hankai 256 is a preserved car. Hiroshima was also on June 6th, but I haven't seen any videos yet. Still to come are events at retro car operation (including car 168) at Nagasaki on Thursday June 10th, tram festival at Okayama June 12, and a train festival at Manhasen also on June 12. All of which remains me that it is almost time for Stamp Rally season!!! Link to comment
