Diorama Mat A Spring Patty - looks like early rice patty, but not a great picture of it

Diorama Mat B Fall Field

will be interesting to see how detailed these fields are. rice paddies have been one that would be great to have in a few different stages! planting 1/150 scale rice is more tedious than planing life sized ones!

cheers

At first sight these would look good on not Japanese layouts also.

Looks liek TomyTec is going on the agricultural tour on this one. Rice paddies for Fall and Spring times, tents for roadside sales and greenhouses for those super-expensive watermelons (and of course other plants). They may just have hit the right spot for those modelling rural areas, especially with those A4-size rice paddies.

The green houses was a no-brainer as they already had these with the farmhouse, so it makes sense to use the existing molds. Frankly, I'm excited about the rice fields, and for whatever reason, I knew it was a matter of time before they made those. Just amazed it was this soon. Now, I only need to figure out how many I need. I suspect 8-10 will due.

the one does appear to be the same as in the farmhouse. they do have a picture of a double long, wonder if they pop together or are just butted up against each other. the other is new.

bummer with the existing farm house one is the cast it in really really thick clear styrene, its scale like 18" thick!

faller greenhouse kits are nice but can be expensive to find.

looks like some interesting stuff inside as well!

im a bit worried the fields may not be so impressive from the rough picture. lets hope for the best!

the japanese page says its A4 size, but the picture looks a lot smaller. maybe it was already cut down for the diorama displayed.

cheers

<ted cassidy>You rang?  :grin

I like the greenhouses, and the tents could be good for the farmers' market I was planning for our main town.
