harukablue
Hi, Has anyone ever taken note of the two different colour schemes that JRF use on the locomotives that they inherited from JNR, EF65's mostly? There seems to be two variants of the blue and white scheme, some locos are two tone blue on the upper half of the bodyshell. Does anyone know what is the current scheme for repainted locos? CaptOblivious
I think, based on Kato's descriptions of them, that the two-tone is an older scheme and the one-tone blue is the newer. I'm guessing they found the single-tone just as pleasing and cheaper? Link to comment
