railway daughter containers vol 3 for August release

Volume 3 of the railway daughters containers is on for release in august. this set has 6 40' containers and six sets of 12' containers (3 each). 40'ers are full color on white, the 12'ers are red on beige  printing. the 12'ers in set 2 were cartoon versions, whereas set 3 12'ers are the same full illustration as the larger containers.

 

Jon and i split our collection 1 and 2 between us so we have a good selection each w/o many duplicates (only the 40'ers did we have to do a draft pick for which three each of us got. only real fun i can think to do with these are to make a special railway daughters train. not sure how good they will look in the container yard, maybe a couple half hidden as treats if anyone looks close enough!

personally im not really into the railway daughters much, but the containers as a train are pretty unique and interesting.

I don't care either for such items usually but I bought a box of 12'er container from the vol2. and I must say it's very graphic, very nice. I'm disapointed at myself, I should bought another one or two boxes of these. 3 containers are clearly not enough.

I bought set 1 on a whim and was not too keen on them. then they grew on me some and better when jon and i were able to split our vol 1 and 2s to get larger spread of containers. im now thinking a little 6-7 car container train will be the fun way to display them.

Well... I'm wondering. Maybe I'll ask my better half to buy some and send it to me by snail mail (with other edible stuff I'm missing). It doesn't help that Popondetta doesn't offer SAL for that type of product.

Jeff, I want to use my macro lens and shoot all the containers. Won't be till I go back to my model trains in the fall.
