Guest ___
At what time do the overnight trains, arrive at Tokyo or Ueno from Sapporo? Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
Cassiopeia arrives Ueno at 9:25, Hokutosei at 9:38 (interestingly, they leave one hour apart in Sapporo). Link to comment
Guest ___
hmmm... It doesn't give me enough time to get to Narita. HN Flight 2 to IAD departs at 1020 JST. Damn, looks like I'd need to spend another night in Tokyo. What by chance is the supplement charge for either train using a JR Railpass? (Full system pass) I'm working out the logistics for the fall Hokkaido trip. Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
What by chance is the supplement charge for either train using a JR Railpass? Others may be able to answer more definitively, but I believe the JR railpass only covers the basic fare. You have to pay the limited express charge as well as the berth charge (which of course varies according to the type you desire). Link to comment
stevenh
You can guarantee on at least AUD$100 extra (TwilightExpress and NihonKai)... it was a lot more for the Hokutosei. Link to comment
