Claude_Dreyfus
There have been many layouts popping up useing T Gauge, however this one I am sharing with you has been on the exhibition circuit for about 8 months. This model, named Lynnbottom, is actually owned by John, a fellow member of our railway club. Many ideas have been explored in emphasising the small size of T Gauge...layouts in lunch boxes etc. This one is a multi-level concept built on a, thankfully new, toilet seat. Essentially it was designed as a demonstration of the sort of readily available stuff you can get for T Gauge. On here are examples of every building and tree-type that we could get, as well as street furniture, pople, animals etc. The only thing missing from these pictures are the road vehicles, which I put togther after these pictures were taken. The layout is designed with two scenes. The bottom section is built on the seat. The tracks run round the edges, with the hole filled by a boating lake. The top section is a town and woodland area. John speciallises in woodwork and electricals, so the track, board modifications and wiring are his departement. Scenic work for the lower section was carried out by Matt, yet another club member, and yours truely did the townscape and woodland area. The name is not very Japanese, it is actually from a place on the Isle of Wight, just off the south coast of the UK. It was a concept name that stuck. It's Japanese name is a little naughty and can be found when looking through the attached article...just find the suitable toilet-related name! This concept kind of works, as I believe this line still uses yellow livered class 103s. The pictures show various areas of the layout, with the exeption of the last. This is a selection of T Gauge vehicles hand painted by me...I think I have got my eyes back in the right place now! 1 Link to comment
keiman
Spoke to John the other week at his place of employment. He told me about this. I think the cars will probably be easy to paint compared with the Bike set I have. Link to comment
Claude_Dreyfus
Yes, John is a member of our club with many and varied interests... I have got a set of the bikes, but have yet to pluck up the courage to paint them up... Link to comment
