scott
Vince is going to laugh at me for asking this, but I'm really not about to buy all the new MicroAce releases--I'm just curious. I've seen models of this train, but I can't find any information about it online--anybody know what type of train it was, where it ran, etc.? Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
According the Japanese wikipedia (and highly summarized here), the Suruga Shuttle was/is a regular interval local service started in 1984 on the Tokaido Main Line in the Shizuoka region. The serice has utilized the 113, 115, 119 series in the past, and currently uses the 211 and 313 types. Apparently the 119 series units in the Suruga Shuttle livery were later transferred to the Iida Line (ca. 1990) after these units were found wanting in performance on the high speed, sustained running conditions of the Tokaido Line.
