David
While incompatible, Kato and Tomix follow the same general formula with their controllers, using clip on switch boxes to control points and the like. For example Kato's 24-840 switch box has a counterpart with Tomix's 5531 switch box. I'm wondering if there is a Tomix counterpart for these two Kato control accessories: Point Power Adapter http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10003120 Used to power a set of Kato switch boxes without a Kato controller (powered by AC output, providing a DC clip on for Kato accessories) Accessary Adapter http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10003117 Opposite conversion, taking the DC power of Kato's clip on system and converting to AC for accessories. I'm positive there must be a Tomix counterpart for this given it would be needed for Tomix's signal lights (unless there is a seperate AC output on Tomix controllers). Link to comment
CaptOblivious
Tomix signals and other accessories use a system they call TCS, and most Tomix powerpacks have one or more TCS ports on back. I don't think they make breakout boxes, you just have to have a TCS throttle. As I understand, they output 12VDC? I haven't measured the output on mine, but I suppose I could do that for you later today. Link to comment
keiman
Tomix p/n 5500 16Vac in and their point switches plug in the side as Kato do with theirs. Link to comment
