bill937ca
For someone wanting to build a tram terminal this was the case in Kyoto until the early 70s. There is a track plan and photos on this Japanese web page. http://kyoto.trolley.net/album/kyoeki2.html It has potential as a bookcase layout with the three crossovers and the stub track. 1 Link to comment
Guest ___
Kyoto Station is a mess these days with taxi and bus traffic, and they can use those trams again. Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
It's a pity Kyoto's tram system was torn up, along with many other city systems back in the late sixties/early seventies, with the onslaught of mass motorization. Though Tokyo's once extensive tram system has been effectively replaced by subways, I think Kyoto would have benefited from keeping her trams, as the grid city layout, relatively wide streets, and restrictive building/development codes suit a streetcar/LRV system. 1 Link to comment

Guest ___
I was on a group tour, coming back from Nara five years ago and I remember seeing a red tram, with a metal fence around it in the middle of a bi-way medium. Link to comment
