Ideas for small industries.

I am looking at assorted small industries to go track side, I already have the 3 Tomytec Factory kits and am looking for other ideas.

Prefer to have small  units or built mini dioramas to place in situ.

Are ther any small mining operations  that would be appropiate to Japan.Have seen a mine Kit which  I fancy building anyway but would like to find a picture of a similar type site in Japan.

You may find something interesting if dig through the Railway Magazine blog.  I found a salt mine with little dodgem' cars as locomotives last night. Maybe I'll find it again. In the meantime.

Not sure if this is small enough.. but Greenmax kit No. 37

 

 

You can also just buy 37a, 37b or 37c if you needed accessories.

 

37a - Over door cranes, barrels & the two of the little side buildings

 

37b - All the pipes and storage tanks

 

37c - Smoke stacks 'n such

cheers got 37a  using it in conjunction with a mega diorama, will be part of a multitrack  (Kato + Tomix) maintenance depot -Trams etc on Tomix and Trains on Kato.  Have the Greenmax Engine shed and will have train washing facilities and a siding dedicated to MOW stuff including the Kato/Lenke Rail Tamper

The other thing with Greenmax is they're easy to kitbash... so you could make something as large or small as you want.
