NGT6 1315
Evening, I wanted to ask if you could tell me whether any of those EMUs - JR East or privately owned - which can operate on Tokyo subway lines have yet been done as models? I know about several models of subway sets, but not about any railway sets fitted for inter-running services. Thanks ! Link to comment
David
If they exist they'll almost certainly be from MicroAce, meaning they will or where produced only once in a very limited quantity and will never be made again unless there is a different paint scheme. Link to comment
disturbman
So many of them, you should check the wikipage of each subway line. For exemple Keisei & Keikyu makes through-runs on the Asakusa Line. Greemax and MicroAce make such models. Link to comment
bill937ca
You will find a list of interlinings on the Tokyo Metro on the Tokyo Metro Wikipedia page. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_Metro One suggestion is the Tokyu Den-en-toshi which runs into the Hanzomon line. Cars for the Den-en-toshi line are available from Greenmax. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_Metro_Hanz%C5%8Dmon_Line http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10081399 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10081403 The Tokyu Toyoko line is planned to run into the Fukutoshin line starting in 2012. Cars for the Toyoko line are available from Greenmax. In addition trains from the Tobu Tojo and Seibu Ikebukuro line operate in this subway. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_Metro_Fukutoshin_Line Toyoko line 5050 cars are available from Greenmax. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10048914 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10048913 This line uses Metro 10000 series available from Greenmax. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10100439 Also, there are inter-routings into Toei subway lines. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_Metropolitan_Bureau_of_Transportation Link to comment
ToniBabelony
There are even running Odakyu Romance cars through the Chiyoda and Yurakucho subways. More information in Japanese here: Here. Pretty crazy if you ask me. It would be pretty awesome though to ride this special express service, the 'Bay Resort', on the transfer line from the Chiyoda Subway to the Yurakucho subway line. This piece of track is between Kokkai-gijidomae and Kasumigaseki on the Chiyoda and between between Sakuradamon and Kasumigaseki on the Yurakucho. I've never found this line on any official map before, as this line is only used a few times per month by a passenger service which is quite new. This service is ran by the metallic blue 60000 Series. More regular Romance Car express services are on the Chiyoda line to Kita Senju. These are the 'Metro Hakone' and 'Metro Sagami'. The names seem clear where they would be heading. These are ran with 60000 Series once again. http://www.tokyometro.jp/romancecar/ Fares seem pretty cheap to me. This is a 'must-do' for me in Japan! Glad this topic was started which threw me into some research. Pretty weird that no-one has done a model of the 60000 Series though. Ah well, luckily there are always some crazy people around to make a model of something non-existent in model train world: http://blog.livedoor.jp/ooyama8000/archives/804432.html and http://blog.livedoor.jp/ooyama8000/archives/1807695.html It seems he re-used stickers from a B-train on the model!
