CaptOblivious
Darren reports that there has been a power outage that has taken the forum down. Except, as you can see, you and I can still access it despite the outage. Darren cannot. Others of you cannot. If you can read this, would you post to this thread to let us know, and mention at least roughly where you are located geographically? Me, I'm in St Louis, USA. Darren, who cannot reach this board, is in the UK. Link to comment
disturbman
I couldn't until now. The forum was, for me, unreachable since 17 or 18 this afternoon (Paris/Berlin time). edit: forget the important thing -> I'm in Berlin, Germany (for those who don't remember that). Link to comment

Darren Jeffries
Right, It would seem this site is mirrored somewhere, unknown to me!!!! Anyway, this problem has now been rectified, and all is well in the land of JNS... It comes to something when you have been excluded from your own site, but the members are allowed in!!!! :grin Link to comment
scott
I for one demand that these ongoing forum outrages come to an end! Oh...umm...... Link to comment
qwertyaardvark
Speaking of forum outages, I do get the occasional (once/twice per month?) thing where the server "runs out of memory" (according to the error), but the server comes back up some 15-ish minutes later. Since I can manage to wait 15 mins, it's not big deal, but I'm wondering if that had anything to do with the type of error / lack of access that happened recently? Link to comment
Darren Jeffries
I have been getting almost daily error messages emailed to me by the Server. It is something we are aware of, and think we know some of the probable reasons for, however, to rectify them is time consuming and labor intensive. It is in hand though. Just think of it as those really annoying roadworks that ultimately will speed up your journey to work when they are done!!! Link to comment
CaptOblivious
I was going to lock this thread, since the outage is over, but let's repurpose it instead. There shouldn't be any more "500 out of memory" errors (they are unrelated to yesterday's outage, which was a problem with our web host's internet service provider). But if you do get one, please post here with the time of the outage, and time zone or GMT offset. Link to comment
Guest ___
I'm chirping in after the fact. No issues on my end here in DC. MY log on times are typically between 0800-1000 EST and 2200-2380 EST. Link to comment
qwertyaardvark
Speaking of 500 errors, I just got one at about 16:02 Eastern Standard Time (Atlanta, GA). Link to comment
