Yamanote Line, 1990 style

Some action on the southern end of the Yamanote Line at Gotanda in June 1990.

 

Note the construction workers doing their morning exercises in the small fenced area beside the station, this would be an interesting scene on a layout. The '6 door' cars were new at the time and trains with one in the consist had a special headboard.

I like how the conductor doesn't actually step back into the train until it's already moving.
