Ahh I see tomytec is moving into the bandai btrain vacuum! Will be interesting to see if the collection system works well with these or not. Hard to see them getting the btrain spread this way, especially at the very slow rate collections of any kind come out these days. But really nice newbies can get into the shorty hobby with Bandai not doing much anymore there. Funny bandai also started the vehicle collections that tomytec stepped into big time like 20 years back. But at that time tomytec was rolling out collections monthly almost!

How exciting to see something new in the Shorty universe. Interesting would be if they will or could be compatible to Bandai in some sort.

They look a tad longer than btrains and maybe a tad less pudgy? But maybe thats just from being a tad longer if thats true.

 

Out of the box they use a long snap in drawbar like btrains, but they show it using the standard tomytec rail collection wheel and coupler sets to upgrade them. Looks like the same system as the prototypical tomytec rail collection trains. So you should be able to connect them to btrains.

 

I have such a ton of btrains i got on sale over a few years there I probably wont be buying 10 box sets for now.
