E231densha
Hi all, I'm a Japanese rail enthusiast, and coming upon this website, you've all inspired me to model railway. May i just know the cost of a T gauge railway set, (with some tracks, a controller and some wires and a train)? Cheers, Alex Link to comment
bill937ca
Are you aware that there are not yet any switches? I believe they were due in August 2009, but....... Link to comment
cteno4
a train set is around $40-50 (4 cars with 2 powered) and a loop of track and controller (complete with two reversing sensors) is about the same. so with shipping about $120. the usual japanese train shops online like hobbyworld (http://www.hwjapan.com/), hobbysearch (http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/), plazajapan (ebay http://stores.ebay.com/plazajapan) all have them. you can also order them in the usa from the us distributor (http://trainaidsa.com/) not bad on the starting price. track is about $1.50 a section, around the same as unitrak/finetrack points coming soon hopefully along with improvements in the drive trains and motors. cheers jeff Link to comment
