Ajcooln
Hello, has anyone created or found a list of N-scale DCC-ready subway trains, including which ones can navigate tight curves? Link to comment
bill937ca
Most of the current subway trains in Tokyo tend to be 20 metres long which rules out tight radius prototypes. The earliest lines, the Ginza line and Marunouchi Line have shorter stock. Kato makes a lot of subway trains but I'm not sure if any are DCC-ready. Ginza line will run on R183 Unitram track. It has been reissued. As for DCC it is a 16m prototype, so very short. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10150095 Some other Tokyo Metro trains from Kato. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/11121564 https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10933169 https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10205606 https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10881933 https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10659489 There also are private railway trains that run through the subway in direct service. Seibu Railway 40000 series operates direct service on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line and Fukutoshin Line, along with vehicles from Tokyo Metro, Tokyu Corporation, Tobu Railway, and Yokohama Minatomirai Railway. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/11138285 1 Link to comment

Cat Posted yesterday at 03:47 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:47 AM Not DCC-ready, but in my biased opinion the best trains to run on tight radii are B-Train Shorties, and you can fit tiny chips in them (they don't need a lot of functions). In Shorty and full 21m size, there is also the lovely Narita Express with underground stations at least at Narita airport and Tokyo. Link to comment
