Kingmeow
I know this is a big ask but I was wondering does anyone make a kit of Kato Hobby Center in Tokyo? I'm thinking about building a Japanese themed T-Trak module and perhaps have the Kato Hobby Center as the point of focus. (If not, Kato should make one! 😁) Link to comment
bill937ca
Well to start the train parked out front is a Keikyu 230 series. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Keikyu-268-kato.jpg Keikyu 230 series EMU displayed at the Sekisui Kinzoku headquarters building Kato currently offers a model of Keikyu 268. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10812205 3 Link to comment
MeTheSwede
I think The Keikyu 230 series and appropriate signage is kind of what makes the building recognisable, so maybe the exact look of the building itself isn't that important? 3 Link to comment
bill937ca
This the second Kato Hobby Center building #268 was outside of. First (?) Kato Hobby Center. https://www.etrain.jp/shoplist/shoplist.cgi?field=57 https://pbase.com/atsf_arizona/image/102794094 https://pbase.com/atsf_arizona/image/102794096 Kato had weathered #268 just for us! Now #268 is fully restored. https://pbase.com/atsf_arizona/image/102794302 The Kato 23-210 Industrial Building could be a double for the earlier shop. Maybe the prototype is the original building. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10003187 Edited January 7 by bill937ca 1 Link to comment
