bc6
My favorite DCC decoder company dRM is out of stock of decoders for the Kato EF510. I'd rather not use a Digitrax DN163k4A decoder if I don't have to got any suggestions. Link to comment

I'm pretty sure this is the one I used for that sort of thing: https://www.tcsdcc.com/product-page/k1d4 I bought it from a dealer at a cheaper price than is listed. 1 Link to comment

chadbag
I have not tried them yet but when I was in Japan last time I also got these MT40 decoders KA3066RA (original and V2 it appears)... They also sell them which is how I got them. This appears to be the same form factor. As I said, I've not yet tried them but found them in my stash the other day. https://wiki.mt40.info/doku.php?id=mobiledecoder2:k3066ra https://mt40.booth.pm/items/2829699 Don't know if they ship internationally. I was planning on using the DN163K4A as indicated on the Kato DCC spreadsheet floating around on this forum. I am curious why you would rather not use it. I use mostly Digitrax decoders and a smattering of TCS ones. Can't say I have any complaints with either. Link to comment

TCS supports the industry standard railcom. I think the MT40 ones do as well as do the various euopean decoders I use. There may be other reasons people don't prefer the digitrax ones. Kingmeow
Right, I forgot about that. I don't think I will ever get into occupancy sensing stuff, so it doesn't matter to me. There's Loconet, Railcom, LCC, etc. 🙄 I thought the avoidance issue was due to other things like mechanical fitment, cost , etc. Link to comment
