This is my Japanese desk layout in Z scale.

It is 35" x 12" ( 890mm X 305mm )
Track is all Rokuhan, because it's just unitrack but Z scale.
Yes, that is a double slip, and yes I know most places would not do that, but for operations sake it works perfectly, and I really wanted an excuse to have a double slip.

I don't have a concrete location, but it will be based in Japan.
I've considered basing it in Hokkaido prefecture, because for some reason, I'm drawn to Hokkaido. As of late I am really eyeing South Hokkaido near Hakodate. They have some really pretty Kiha 40s running around.

As far as equipment it's mostly Rokuhan, but I picked up a Platz Kiha
So far I've only got a Kiha 52, and Kiha 40 as passenger service, and a DE10 and DD51 for whatever freight I decide to run. Which for now is a couple Taki 1000s in the really pretty green and grey paint.

I have an elevated line that is in the works as well, but it will be non functional/display track. So far that will be my only "electrified" line so I can store either my Tokyo Maurui E231 Yamanote line or my EVA 500 Shinkansen. I may even leave it empty or I'll wait for something that fits the local I kind of want to do.

Structures will most likely be Sankei, and Rokuhan, but I definitely enjoy building the Sankei structures a lot.

I would definitely like some recommendations if you have them for locations if you have them if you know of anything similar. Or just good spots to check out via Google earth/maps.

Also, I may make a secondary post, but if I do stick with South Hokkaido, I will probably pick up a few more Platz Kiha 40s to repaint. So if you know of anyone that can make the decals for them I would love to know.
