Beaver
The customisable offerings in the Casco case range with the push-out pieces to make holes in the foam inserts to the shape you need for particular items of stock is very convenient. But sometimes a piece is pushed out by accident, or you want to change the configuration of the foam to hold something else. Just pushing the pieces back in does not work - they will fall out again. Is there a glue or adhesive that will fix the push-out pieces back in place without dissolving the foam or turning it hard? Link to comment
cteno4
Might try the e6000 glue. It’s sort of an almost rubber cement type glue with a bit of a flexible bond, but it’s pretty plastic safe for the most parts. There are very similar cements for cell phone seals and screens names like B7000 and t8000 that you can get in small tubes from aliexpress. I say small tubes as I’ve found they kinds of glues seem to go off in the tube once opened within a few weeks. I think it’s the bit of oxygen getting in there eventually cures it all in the tube. Might be worth a shot. But do test it on some waste pieces! I think I have a bag of scrap inserts somewhere I’ll see if I can find it and try the b7000 on it. jeff 1 1 Link to comment
Cat
Yes, I've used E6000 for that sort of foam, it's worked well. 1 Link to comment
cteno4
I know I’ve used e6000 on fun foam which is EVA foam, which is I think what the inserts are. jeff Link to comment
