Micro-Trains coupler to replace Tomix 7183 electric loco Rapidos

Have purchased a Tomix N 7183 Tri Bo electric loco which came fitted with Rapido couplers.

Is there an M/T conversion chart somewhere to indicate which M/T coupler is suitable to replace Rapidos, please?

Not sure there are any drop in type couplers that would work. Most modellers in Japan using MT couplers have to do some modification on any older or non-Kato stock. It would seem Kato possibly adopted the MT standards for their American stock and this was eventually adopted for their Japanese stock. 

 

I did find a blog on someone who converted an EF71 loco to use MT couplers. However there may be a simpler method as the majority of the MT couplers available in Japan are those distributed by Kato, which obviously fit their stock.
