They have an image of Edmund Morel looking kinda Japanese in that article. I'm not sure if it's a photo or a sketch, if he just started looking more Japanese over time or if the sketch artist did that. It's funny how 白人 sometimes end up that way after living there for a while.

 

I've seen his grave in the Yokohama General Foreign Cemetery, still maintained as a railway memorial.
