bc6
Wow I think some model train companies can use those kids on their creative teams. Who ever thought of N scale washtubs with people in them not me. Link to comment

cteno4
I think my friend and I were the only two doing model railroading in jr high and high school out of like almost 400. Maybe another closeted one, but those were the days when you got the most stuff from the local hobby shops so with the amount of time we spent there I’m sure we would have crossed paths with another kid buying train stuff… but to have been able to do it as a school project! Wow! actually going to talk to a group that does events for Japanese ex pat kids in the area and see if maybe we could so some small maybe mini onetrak project with them. jeff 1 Link to comment
Junech
I remember a similar German project back when I was in 3rd or 4th grade. It was called "Modellbahn und Schule" (Model railways and school) where you build a single double track module in H0 over a year and then send it to or go to one exhibition with all the other modules and there were prizes too (including money for the group). I don't know if it is still going. I tried to google it but nothing came up with a quick search. So I guess it died down. Link to comment
