subirs
Dear Friends, I am a newbie in the area of rail modelling. I have been trying to get information about TNOS and TCS 5574. About TNOS I could comprehend is that it is for fixed layout. Is it true? Is TCS 5574 independent of the layout. I have bought basic layout and then modified it using anyrail. Any help will be deeply appreciated. Regards Subir Link to comment
brill27mcb
The Tomix TNOS and the 5574 Automatic Operation Unit both only work with specific Tomix-designed layouts. They they have been programmed to handle those layouts. The two systems have different sets of layouts. More information in English about TNOS can be found here: http://www.trainweb.org/tomix/control/tnos.htm For more information on Tomix Automatic Operation Units, you can search Youtube videos for "Tomix 5574" as well as "Tomix 5563" (the earlier version that runs the same as the 5574). Also look here for the layouts for the 5574 / 5563: At present the TNOS system is unavailable except second-hand, and no additional production run has been scheduled, that I know about. Hope this helps! Rich K. Edited August 24 by brill27mcb 2 Link to comment
subirs
Thanks for your reply. I am trying to build a layout for my 7 year old kid. During my last visit to Tokyo I bound Plan DX-PC(F) (product no. 90951) and few trains. Now I have made certain modifications to it and in my forthcoming visit to Tokyo will buy more to accomplish the layout. I have read many of your post and found them quite informative, I also learnt few things from them. I would soon post my planned layout (from anyrail) and will post my view for the implementation of TCS to it. I would be grateful if any member would give their suggestions. Thanks in Advance.
