Kato announced their Amtrak Surfliners

Exciting news for those looking to expand their Amtrak California rolling stock! 

 

Kato announced their Amtrak Surfliners. The Amtrak Surfliner runs from San Diego, CA all the way up to Los Angeles, CA, spanning 351 miles of track! Comes out in three different versions, which are:

 

- Basic 4 Car Set (106-9001) MSRP; $240

- Additional 4 Car Set (106-9002) MSRP; $190

- Full 8 Car Set (106-9010) MSRP; $420

 

The  SC-44"Charger" will be in the New Surfliner livery, and there is an extra coach than the real life consist has. Pre-orders have started and the release date is January 2025. By the looks of the blueprints, the new SC-44 looks very detailed, and hopefully is. More details on the announcement here:
