All for views. Some people make no sense.

Stupidity, utter stupidity.

Teenage brain as well, little or no executive function for some and they live in an altered reality bubble from the rest of the world. They think they are being oh so cleaver, as this chap exemplified, neglecting there were other cameras around other than his… I taught high school for a year and watched this crap every day on a much much smaller scale… always made me laugh when you would bust one of them and they would look at you with incredulously asking how you knew!

All for views indeed. What a waste!
Fortunately he injured no one, I hope.

Buster Keaton bought a whole logging railroad and several 4-4-0 locomotives just to create the most expensive railroad wreck depicted in silent cinematic history for the world to see a century prior to now.

With social media becoming so intrinsic in that generation’s experience of the world, being judged on how many followers, how many likes you have and regularly hearing about people who made viral videos that opened up income streams and other opportunities. It’s really no wonder that something like this would eventually happen. Thankfully no-one was hurt in this instance but just takes until the next idiot tries something.

Certainly they seem much less aware of consequences of actions and can be less connected from the real world as it’s easy to find 20,000 other morons who think like them online, reinforcing their ridiculous ideas. Village idiots used to be easily identified from their ramblings in the taverns. These days it’s much harder to police stupidity before something happens.

Collectively, we’re only as smart as our stupidest person.

I loathe the term “influencers”.i just shutter and think influencers of idiocracy… At best, and that’s not great, it’s just “look at me”, at worst it’s “look at me so I can made some money sayin any crap that comes into my head.”
