bc6
I know a few threads are using a Kato EH500 chassis but I'm having problems with where to isolate the copper strips. The pictures aren't that great that I've seen so I'd like some clarification before I destroy a decoder, I'm using a Digitrax DN163K0D. I've reached out to a member and waiting for a response, Mods please feel free to merge this post into one of the many on this installation. Link to comment
Wolf
Isn't an DN163K0D too long anyway? Or am I mismatching their formfactor? Link to comment

Kingmeow
The accompanying Digitrax instruction booklet that came with the decoder has pictures on how and where to apply the Kapton tape to prevent the short to the motor. https://www.digitrax.com/media/apps/products/mobile-decoders/dn163k0d/documents/dn163k0d.pdf Edited May 13 by Kingmeow 1 1 Link to comment
bc6
If you dont know Ive ditched the DN163K0D and got a ND-EH200 decoder from the dRM. The installation was a piece of cake and from Taiwan it took about two weeks to get here. Link to dRM and installation photos here Edited July 28 by bc6 1 Link to comment
