Perhaps, but will only be joining the rest of us!

it just reminded me of the lasercut wood marble maze kits I got for my grand nieces and nephews.

And while the steps are printing.... I'm starting work on a panoramic elevator.

Now you just need a long threaded rod for each to move the  up and down!

I'm going to use a winding mechanism and string... already designed.  🙂

Done a trial print, and it slides really easily.  I seem to have got the free-play in the guides just about right first time.  🙂

Ps.. when finished, this will be nearly 1m tall !

Anyone interested in the .stl files when I finish ?

Some LED strings arrived yesterday  🙂

Subway station not plugged in, so dark, but each level can be a different colour.

No back on yet, so you can see the sideboard behind. (Yes.. this is being built in the Dining Room)  🥴

Any Futurama fans?

I'm considering basing some of my buildings on the city level of my crazy layout on Futurama.

Already found a printable file of the Planet Express building, and I was wondering what other buildings might be "recognisable".

I have some ideas but they are not going to be easy to build the .stl files for.

Please post pics.

Electronic billboard with owner express ship crashed into it. Oh and some personal transport tubes.

Nice ideas... Both are "doable".. Have found a 3D stl file of the Express ship... Do you have a link to the actual scene, please

Clear plastic flexible tube, easy enough to get hold of. Making things actually move inside.. every different issue  🙂

Currently Printing the file shown below.  And have a couple of other buildings in mind.   Any pics or links more than welcome.

Both are in the intro to the show, with folks getting sucked around in the transport tubes and the ending of the intro which ship taking off and crashing into the video billboard and stuck half way through (I guess I watched a few too many futuramas).also the aerocar traffic.

You're on fire, but I reckon you need the billboards as well.

Three more buildings. But had to order some more filament colours, so a few days delay in the builds.

Billboard next, just have the build the building it stands on.   Or I could put it on top of the third building below.

Buildings are called  Satellite Tower, New New York Plaza, and Trump Trapezium

Finished the New New York Plaza.

Decided I didn't want grey again, so I uses some "glow in the dark orange" PLA, which looks white in the light.

And another building design... just for fun. 🙂

I call it  "The Bender Building"

Might even try to put some LEDs behind the eyes and use transparent filament.
