Unitrack playing layout.

Hello,

 

I have been far from the hobby since too long time due to personnel problems … so to come back with easy work and to get a maximum fun, I have made a little playing layout with unitrack and a few accessories.
The target was to get a layout inspired by the toys layouts spirit from the past : no heavy modeling technics from space and a design for operations and a maximum of fun to drive train. 
 

Simple construction to get running trains very fast.

 

Here is the plan :

 

 

Here is views from the command center : I can switch between a Tomix control panel and two kato power packs to feed the two tracks ( inner and outer loop are electrically independent) with the aluminium panel face plate switches.

On the center car, witch is a trailer, I have changed the original Tomix trucks. They are replaced by kato’s in order to get better curent taking performance ( no blinking lights ) :

 

 

Upper car : Tomix trucks

Here is a video of the SL Ginga. It is the new Tomix model of the famous touristic steam train of the JR east.

 

The cars are lit with poppondetta lighting bars :

 

i also changed the Arnold couplers for TN tight couplers optional parts to get a close coupling look :

Work of the WE : i have had a shinto temple and a second platform :

A very modest explanation of a nice layout design. Looks like you’ve covered a lot of “play” value in terms of options for terminating services, mainline, shunting and loco storage.
