bc6
I don't build from styrene as much as I'd like to because my cuts always come out messed up. I spent some time on YouTube searching "how to cut styrene" Most of them were generic "use a straightedge divided by a 90-degree angle" but I was looking for a tool. Sure you can buy a Chopper or even a Cricut to cut styrene which costs $35 to $200 I wasn't really looking to spend that much money but maybe one day. I came across the video below, in which this guy created a tool that cuts styrene straight and that I can build. So I'm still in the building process of building the cutter with a few parts left to source like the collar stay for the blade and the blade, MDF base for the cutter. Those items will show in due time and I wanted to share what I've completed so far. I figure someone else may have the desire to build like I do but not the skill for good cuts this tool will help you. EDIT: Today I ordered an MDF base and some set screws to secure the rods into the 3D-printed rod holders. Edited February 17 by bc6 2 Link to comment
