kevsmiththai Posted December 28, 2023 Share Posted December 28, 2023 I'm on with a couple of 1/50th Steam locos. One of them, an Otaki C57, I'm doing in a sort of Imperial Train finish (C57 117). Brass bands around the air pumps and res tanks etc. I've started to paint the white primer on the edges of the footplates and tender top My question is Did the white paint on the tender top carry on around the rear? I have a lot of C57 pics but none of the rear of the tender. I would have thought it would but I like to be certain As you can see when I'm painting I have a photo on the PC Monitor to refer to Still need to work out how to do the Imperial Chrysanthemums Kev 2 Link to comment
SwallowAngel Posted December 28, 2023 Share Posted December 28, 2023 (edited) Not necessarily a C57 picture, but the rear sides on the SLs at the Kyoto Railway Museum all feature tender lining (See pics below, courtesy of yours truly ;D).
