Burtos
Bought a used 281 series Haruka 6 car train of Ebay recently, and getting it out the box and testing it noticed that a few of the carriages weren't connecting ,so looked underneath and noticed that one of the power carriage couplers was broken and the other just doesn't look as the same as the others. Also one other carriage the coupler was completely missing, and the other doesn't look the same as the others either. P.S. I have contacted the seller about the issue. disturbman
They look like the normal Kato bogie-mounted shibata couplers. I just can’t find the reference in my phone. The coupler box, I have no idea. I only know these from MicroAce sets. Link to comment
katoftw
Older tilting bogie coupler mech from Kato. 117 185 883 885 series trains have this. Probably many others also. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10155254 You really need the instruction sheet for the model, as there is 1x back and 2x grey colours. Just so you get the correct colour. Burtos
Bit of further research, hopefully found them, type 2 coupler needed as shown in the 2nd picture top right. The connector actually comes away from the bogies leaving what is shown in the top of the1st picture, didn't need a new complete wheel set, but only the end coupler. Link to comment
katoftw
I think you mean Type B. 11-706 is a grey version. Link to comment
