cmr47
Anyone suggest an easy way of undoing wide track pieces Link to comment
bill937ca
Its not undoing it, but you could kitbash a median. Undoing it would require cutting which might unbalance the whole assembly. It is prototypical for 1000mm and 1067mm tram lines with 1067mm being common in Japan. cmr47
I want an easy way of undoing Tomix wide track. The small plastic jointers lock in . Is there a tool or method to release them. ? Link to comment
Rod.H
A short gentle flat twist should get them apart, meaning keep the track flat on a flat surface, then lightly flat twist as you're pulling apart the sections. Unless you've done something else to the connections. Link to comment
brill27mcb
Yes, as Rod.H says, keep the track on a flat surface, and with one hand on each side of the joint gently pull/bend at the joint to open one edge. The flexible fingers on the joiner clips should release the connection. The joiners clip in, but do not really "lock" in permanently. They are made to be joined and unjoined, just use care. Hopefully nobody applied glue to them or something like that. Rich K. Link to comment
MeTheSwede
Isn't that one of those pieces that looks like it's two pieces, but it's really just one piece? Check the rails from the topside of the track. An example of a single track piece (underside and topside): Link to comment
