CaptOblivious
Anyone know the part number for these, that I could try to hunt down a set? I lost the bidding war on this particular set, but I'm very keen on acquiring a pair. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kato-Japanese-N-scale-MU-coupling-covers_W0QQitemZ270516595974QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxq20100118?IMSfp=TL100118222003r30654 Link to comment
IST
Picture is not so clear, so maybe 11-704 or 11-706? Maybe you can find here. Link to comment
CaptOblivious
Sorry, I was unclear. The auction wasn't for the couplers themselves, but for covers that go over the couplers. Like what's over the coupler in the image on the left that isn't in the image on the right. My 651系 looks like the one on the right, but it has usable (as in not dummy) couplers on the nose. The Kato coupler covers, according to the seller, were designed to fit over Kato's scharfenberg couplers just like the real ones in the photo attached. So they would make my 651系 appear as the one on the left :D He didn't have the part no., however. Link to comment
clem24
As cool as they seem, personally I think they are way oversized and once put on the train, doesn't look realistic at all. Many of the Tomix HG sets come with these, and frankly, they just don't look right. On that note, you can probably get ahold of the Tomix TN ones more easily and perhaps modify one? Link to comment
