cteno4
@mwagner Very nice work! Kudos! The U modules look great, i love the simple elegance of their design, easy to build and light feel. for a long time I had the idea of doing a rural one track set of long, thin modules like this. Something less track and more scenery like yours. I was playing with the idea of spring switches in the station platform siding so I could do 2 trains with reversed motors and a dead rails in the stations. This way I could run the trains in opposite directions and have them auto stop at stations easily and even visitor push a button to get the trains moving again. Your modules inspire me to do some rural modules with my mini onetrak concept on the smaller side first and when I get some time, get bigger. cheers, jeff 1 Link to comment
mwagner
Hi Jeff, thank you for your praise. I appreciate that you will be inspired to build your own idea. I would like to take a closer look at the results. KR Markus Link to comment
MeTheSwede
Looks awesome! Both the build itself and the photo angles. Nice "back drop" also. 🙂 I'm looking forward to seeing more later. Edited November 7, 2023 by MeTheSwede 1 1 Link to comment

KR Markus That's a fine piece of work @mwagner You have my full approval on the detail to the scenery. Even though mine won't be modular, I certainly would like to attain the standard that you've got with my layout's scenery! And I love the sakura trees! 1 Link to comment
mwagner
Thank you all for your positive feedback. Maybe you would like to see the next module? It is a corner-module with dimensions of 29 x 29 cm. I had a lot of fun modelling the underground of the forrest-like parts. The base ist ground black tea. This means that the module also smells pleasant. 😅 KR Markus 14 Link to comment
Tony Galiani
Great work - amazing feel - you would never realize how small it is from those pictures. Also, nice work with the trees. I am working on a small module and definitely have tree envy after seeing yours! Tschuss, Tony Edited November 9, 2023 by Tony Galiani grammar correction 1 Link to comment
mwagner
Hi Tony, thank you. Most of the trees are cheap plastic trees from ebay (https://www.ebay.de/itm/384472794080). I use these as a starting point for the detail work. The dead tree is a part of a real root, which I've collected in summer. KR Markus 1 1 Link to comment
Tony Galiani
Just made use of that info and found several sets that look very useful. Orders placed - a cheap and cheerful way to add to my tree variety. Appreciate the tip. Tony 1 Link to comment

MeTheSwede
Oh, so it is static grass! The fibers look so well ordered I assume some kind of grass mat. If you teach any static grass courses I need to attend. 😄 1 1 Link to comment

EB421
Hi @mwagner this is all very beautiful. I'm particularly pleased by the inclusion of my car, hiding under a bridge. 😄 Now all I have to do is find one in my scale. Maybe I'll ask around! 1 Link to comment

Cat
I love the angle of the foreground street, that really reshapes the tight corner very nicely! 1 Link to comment
