Shinkansens are the gateway drug. Beware.

Welcome Sasha,

glad you found us! As Gavin noted be careful you come for the shinkensens and end up taking home any more different Japanese trains!

Hello!

I am from the UK but live and study in Tokyo now.

In the UK I was into some very involved large scale detailed scratchbuilding but now play around with B-train instead.

Good morning/afternoon/evening/whatevertimeitis to you all.

Welcome Space Beaver. Glad you found us. If you feel like it start a thread on both your Btrain and your large scale scratch stuff you did. You’ll find lots of folks interested in both here!

Cheers

Greetings, All:

1:700-scale naval modeler for 20+ years (which was my introduction to the Japanese hobby market and manufacturers) and about to plunge into the world of N-scale trains, with a Japanese railways/rolling stock focus. N-scaing strikes me as a nice complement to static modeling. Looking forward to gleaning much from this forum - I have a lot to review before even asking initial questions. Modeled HO scale as youth, with little consistency about era or railway and never quite completed a layout through to the scenery stage. Would like to overcome those tendencies in this next phase.

Welcome Daniel! Glad you found us. Post some of your 1/700 naval stuff, I always have fun looking at the etched brass stuff in 1/700.

hi i'm Connie. I'm currently planning a model of the Long Island Rail Road in HO and am conceptualizing a small-ish Japanese N-scale layout.

Hi, thanks for the admit.

Live around the Brisbane Area Octogenarian . Used to be a Marklin fanatic but downsizing also required downsizing scale and layout size.

Currently I have a Layoyt , still WIP, it is hinged to the wall.  1750mm. X 550mm.

Was Minitrix track and mainly Minitrix locos and rolling stock.   About 3 months ago I switched to Kato Unitrack which I find is a lot better as it has greater rigidity. REcently I have obtained a Kato Loco (US Diesel) and some Kato Japan rolling stock.  In the hut for some Kato Japan Outline items.

USing an ECOS Command station and will be using Itrain Computer programme.
