I can't find anything on installing a decoder in the Kato 813 Series 200 set. I would appreciate any assistance getting started on this thanks.

I have used the NGDCC DE29X6K and DF29X6K, which are a good fit, easy to install.

They are sold as a pair here: https://www.snjpn.com/ngdcc/de29/de29x6k_16v.htm

They are almost identical, the DE29X6K is used for the end car with the motor, and the DF29X6K is used for the end car without the motor

A few photos:

I have also soldered three FR11 for the interior lights.

Wow this is amazing thanks for replying to my question. This is why I like JNS there's at least one person who has some knowledge of the subject matter you need help with.

@Madsing Thank you for the great pics and information to order the decoder.

I just sent an email requesting a decoder I'm pretty psyched. And I just ordered smd leds what great timing lol.

That board looks like a standard lightboard replacement that a Digitrax or TCS would also work with?  Maybe disable the lights on one end?

Not saying the NGDCC isn't a good idea, but not as accessible (for some people -- I;ve bought plenty of their bi-polar function decoders).

A tad late, but also absolutely recommend NGDCC Boards as replacement (although the lack of LED is sometimes ... meh) over anything Digitraxx. You won't regret asking for that.

Give a review when you get it.  The dude/s at NGDCC (snjpn) are good and quick.  I've ordered a few times with shipping to the US and to Japan both and always had a good experience.
