Rod.H
From the "What did you purchase" thread a few years back I put this together quickly and got it working. Might've even added a post on the signals in the electrical section. Partlist: 4x S140-WP (1761) 2x S140 bridges (3255) 4x 3 Colors Signal WP (5572) 1x S280 bridge (3266) 2x TCS Extention Cord (5810) 1x DC Feeder for slab/wide track (5537/8) And at least two of the main embankment parts 3231, 3228 & 3229 Which looks like this: Well, I finally got around to adding the clip-on fences and to keep the signal shelves in place added some thin double-sided tape to the underside of each. Might've been a bit premature blocking up every hole in the wide track with the plastic filler piece when I've not even decided if this section needs simulated catenary. Then again, I still don't have a module concept beyond long and the bridge part is crossing a watercourse. Whether that means the bridge is sitting on the water with the embankments touching water too, or they're up higher requiring more piller height, I've not decided. I'm still undecided on how trains even get onto the embankment in the first place. 3 Link to comment
cteno4
Rod, nice! How tall is the bridge/embankment to the top of the rail? jeff Link to comment
Rod.H
It's the height of Tomix peir P10 plus the underside bridge beam so 55mm? Edited August 9, 2023 by disturbman unnecessary quote, answering previous message 1 Link to comment
Rod.H
I set everything up on my test bed and fitted some catenary arms. I fitted a post roughly every 140mm and tried to keep them out of the signal sight line (probably should take a pic of it), however, the embankment signal support fence is missing the cutout for the post footing and I don't want to make one. So a stagger works. The space is too small for me to do an oval, if I use descending piers (3234) with HC317-45-PC (1872), a U-shape layout can be made. Now the following is using the backdrop piece RM Models put out for I believe a competition or event they ran related to the release of that Tomix bridge From this, you can sort of get an idea of what I'm thinking of for that bit. I'm more thinking of the water of the first with the background of the second. 6 Link to comment
