The Konan Railway pair are more or less of the same vintage - ED33 3 is from 1923 while ED22 1 is from 1926, although being used only for ploughing duties the two locos are in a situation close to semi-retirement. Welshbloke Posted May 27, 2023 Share Posted May 27, 2023 The Rhätische Bahn has a few centenarian electric locos (and others rapidly approaching that age). They even send them out on freight out of season, to train the drivers and keep the locos from developing lot rot. From memory they have a functioning Ge 2/4, a Ge 4/6 (both dating from the original electrification schemes in the 1910s) and the two Ge 6/6 I "Krokodils" from 1929 running. Link to comment
