Not wanting to fog up other threads with stories regarding customs, I decided to create this topic to share some of our "adventures" getting our parcels to reach us through the import customs process.

 

Basically a place to let out some steam. And share some tips and tricks.

Last month I ordered a N scale SL, plus track and parts to start up with Z scale.

Plaza Japan got the parcel going in two days, departing from Osaka Airport in March 23.

 

It was also in March 23 that I was authorised to pay the VAT+Customs Service Fee in the Portuguese Post Customs portal.

 

The parcel arrived in Lisbon in March 28, being sent to LISBOA PROV.
This was already a bad sign as the customs facility is identified as LISBOA DOUANE.

 

In April 3 the parcel was moved to LISBOA DOUANE, where the customs process started.

 

The order to release the parcel from the Customs Authority (AT) was given in April 11, meaning that, from this point, the parcel should leave Customs and be sent to me.

 

It's April 18, and the parcel is still stuck in Customs for  reason.

 

 

Let's see how it'll be like in the next days. I'm hoping it won't beat my current record of 32 days in Customs. 🤣
