bill937ca
The Japanese are masters of building small layouts. This Japanese language web site has a sizable desk top layout on a desk and an extension. http://www.urenaimokei.com/index.html But what I find really interesting is the illustrated guides to installing detail parts on the electric locomotives featured. Most are Kato locomotives. Click on the turquoise button beside the locomotives. http://www.urenaimokei.com/loco-E-list.html#ef66-01 As an example here is a EF-210. http://www.urenaimokei.com/accessories-EF210-02.html Link to comment
EWS60008
Thats a very useful tutorial which although it is written in Japanese, the pictures give clear instructions to the modeller of what detail part goes where. Though because I am kind of ham-fisted when it comes to the fine detail parts, I tend to use metal twizzers and a sharp scalpel to cut away the parts from the sprue and then I use a resin glue (just a tiny drop) to stick and firmly secure the parts into place. I might post a tutorial up here on the forum once I get really good at detailling as a way of giving something back to the forum community . Link to comment
