bc6
Or give me a suggestion for a single car train I can run similar to this one? Link to comment
miyakoji
JR East KIHA100/110 series. That's the Hachiko Line livery. Behind that is a 701 I think. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KiHa_100_series https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/701_series 1 Link to comment

Rod.H
Pretty much anything on https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/list/1702/6/1 if it's got drivers positions at either end of the car can be used solo, provided it has a motor ([M]/-M-) and isn't Tomytec. Those need additional parts to turn them from a display piece into a working train. 1 Link to comment
Kamome
There are a number of other great single car models, some of which have special wrappings. https://www.tomytec.co.jp/tomix/products/n/8610.html https://www.tomytec.co.jp/tomix/products/n/8609.html# Or simpler trains like the Kiha 40 series which work on many rural lines across Japan, being re-released in May. https://www.tomytec.co.jp/tomix/products/n/9472.html Also check out the Microace Kiha 32 Hobby Trains http://www.microace-arii.co.jp/release/pdf/A7240.pdf The Kiha 110 also has had other wraps, some of which have been produced in model form Pokemon 2 car train https://www.tomytec.co.jp/tomix/products/n/98060.html Tohoku Emotion, a 3 car train, was produced by Kato Hobby Center some years ago. Possibly available on the used market. https://2nd-train.net/topics/article/37266/ 1 Link to comment

Not really, we just spend too much time and money on this hobby 😁 As the others said, these are JR East Kiha 110s. Kato and Greenmax made models of these. They also offer the two-car version. Greemax released a few different liveries. Tomix also produced the shorter Kiha 100 version, which otherwise is visually similar to the 110 Edited March 30, 2023 by disturbman 2 2 Link to comment
