# Disturbman: ......

We received Changming's H0 HXN5, a mainline locomotive that will look familiar to North American forumers.

Hello, can you tell me the name of this american locomotive ? Unfortunately there is no more shapeways, there I saw the cockpit for N for this engine,  I would like to rebuild it in N. Thank you.

I remember we talked about the Knuckle Couplers, but just a short headsup, we can order Iori Kobou, but they not easy to deal with. So I'd prefer you just tell me what you need and I get it to you ^^

Yes, thank you for adding them to the Shop.

For Iori Kobou, I need to look which Models I'm mostly interested, because they have so much I would like to have. 🙂

The other Problem is, what you alsoneed seperate for them too - Axles, Coupler pockets, Boggies/Trucks, Motor Chassis ect.

I will go in touch with you via the J-Scale Contact/Chat function if I decided whalt Is would like to buy.

What also would be interesting are the Completed Loco Models of World Kogei (not the Brass KIts!). Mostly the JGR EC40 Type Electric Locomotive from 1911, which was build here in Esslingen, my Home Town. 😄

The HXN5 is collaboration between GE and CRRC Qishuyan. From the Chinese Wikipedia page, it's based on the AC6000CW. But you will have to check their respective dimensions before taking in that project.

Also, I know you love kitbashing locomotives, but Changming is bound to release a model of the HXN5 in N sooner rather than later. It hasn't been announced yet, but they said they were working on "5 outside corridor locomotives" for release this year and they already have the research done for the H0 model. If the HXN5 doesn't come out this year, it will likely come out next year.

New shipment received from China with a few new goodies from Minitown, ModuFactor and Minicity.

First, Minitown DF4B Value Pack with one DF4B and three C64T gondolas fitted with their coal load. Before the appearance of Changming, Minitown was the crown jewel of Chinese N. Quality for this release is as good as usual. The locomotives comes DCC-ready and all the models are fitted with the usual knuckle couplers.

Next is the new double-decker passenger coaches by ModuFactor. These complete the sets releases two years ago and introduce a new generator car. The models are stunning as usual, and the packaging is very high specs. ModuFactor is one of my favourite Chinese manufacturers. I cannot wait for more releases.

Last but not least, we received the books A and B of China Railway Publishing's "Illustrated Guide to Chinese Trains". Like some of the old JR illustrated guides, the books offer pages and pages of illustrations of recent and older locomotives, CRH trains and passenger coaches. These N scale size illustrations are accompanied by short presentation texts.

@Lazertron you are most welcome, or not. Maybe your wallet hates me/us deeply now 🙈

But I hope you will like them as much as I do. I would get the full train of these ModuFactor sets if I had the space. I also need to see about getting interior lighting kits for these.

Anyway, you will have a bit of reprieve. Next shipment from China shouldn't be before at least two weeks from now. It will be a big new arrival from Liuzhou with various new locomotives. Next post should be, possibly, about some cute, new Taiwanese painted DMUs.

Greetings back to Linz 🙂

There exist similary Books about Japanese JNR/JR Rolling Stock. Do you know if you can get such Books too? Do reprints even exist?

@Steve I have some of these at home. I'll check if we can find them, but as far as I know they haven't been reprinted for some years and seems to have been discontinued.

Edit: what exists in a similar format are "train face" books. There are several thematic volume. Don't know if that would be of interest.
