Hakodate Main Line D51 In 1970, the Hakodate Main Line was the C62, and in particular, the express "Niseko", which was led by the C62, was extremely popular. Behind the C62, the D51 was silently struggling to pull local and freight trains. http://artpro.jp/sl/hakodatelined51-3/ http://artpro.jp/sl/hakodatelined51-2/ http://artpro.jp/sl/hakodateline-d51-3-2/ Hachiko Line 1969 The Kawagoe Line's terminal station, Komagawa, is located on the Hachiko Line, which, as the name suggests, connects Hachioji and Takasaki. Especially the section between Komagawa and Higashihanno has a slope, making it a popular spot for SL fans. http://artpro.jp/sl/hachiko-line1969/ http://artpro.jp/sl/hachiko1969-2/ Hokkaido in the summer of 1970 In August 1970, I took over an Asahi Pentax SP and a telephoto lens from a friend and went on my second trip to Hokkaido. Probably because he was so happy with his first telephoto lens, many of the photos were taken with a telephoto lens. http://artpro.jp/sl/1970hokkaido1/ http://artpro.jp/sl/1970hokkaido2/ 1969 Summer Koumi In 1969, the Koumi Line already had diesel trains except for freight trains . http://artpro.jp/sl/koumi2/ Kure Line Large Steam Machine In March 1970, I stopped by the Kure Line on my way back from a trip around Chikuho using the Kitakyushu Sightseeing Ticket. At that time, large steam machines such as C62 and C59 were active on the Kure Line, and although it was a short stay, I was able to enjoy the atmosphere. http://artpro.jp/sl/kure1/ http://artpro.jp/sl/kure2/ http://artpro.jp/sl/kure3/ More http://artpro.jp/category/sl/ Edited February 23, 2023 by bill937ca 3 Link to comment
