3D printed platform ends for KATO DX platforms and V15 set

Good morning everyone.

 

After designing and testing, I was able to come up with platform ends compatible with KATO DX platforms and the V15 set.

 

I made two platform ends, one 9mm piece and one 133mm piece:

- The 9mm piece fits with the 20-051 and 20-052 track pieces when the platform is parallel to, and terminates with, a 248mm track piece;
- The 133mm piece fits with the 20-051 and 20-052 track pieces when using the 124mm track pieces included with the V15 set.

 

These allow the installation of a full-length platform within a V15 set, even when using the included 124mm straight tracks.

 

I'm still considering designing the right-hand connector for the platform, as KATO only provided left-hand connectors, and these don't hold the 9mm piece very well.

Is the notch cut out of 20-051 and 20-052 9mm? So, I could now have a 248mm platform up to the end of a 20-051/-052 and your "plug" would fill the gap. Correct?
