tomix light boards

is there a good source for replacement tomix light boards? i ran across something where one could replace the "orange glow" to a more realistic look,, I found some but site is in all Japanese an no translator!! so i had no idea of what i was looking at!! thanks'

HKTILC light boards have more light temperature choices and are of much better quality.

You could also write an email to Densha.me and ask if/when they plan to reproduce their TOG2 lights for ED79 and EF81 (product number DH551, https://www.densha.me/product-page/tog2-機関車用の新型ライトユニット).

Otherwise, I'm not sure about the ED79. There are a few other producer that would need to be checked.

I checked but couldn't find anything, you could also talk to Nariichi from ModelTrainPlus, he would know if the EF81 board would also work for your ED79.

thanks all   ive tried e mailing model train plus but no reply?? ive tried twice,  every thing else is out of stock at plazz japan,  an hobby search only has one that will fit the dh200    not worth the dhl delivery charge!!

I have had issues reaching Nariichi by email but I know others had no issue speaking to him and ordering items on the website. Maybe @Tony Galianican weight in, I think he still orders there.

Haven't ordered anything recently.  However, I wonder if he has issues with his e-mail.   Earlier this year I sent an e-mail about a purchase but never received a response.  I did go ahead with an order (without the items I had inquired about) and that worked out okay.

I checked his web page and he has a link to Facebook.  Wonder if that is an option to contact him - though the last post on there is dated September 30th.  Never use Facebook myself so cannot tell how well that works.
